Lloyd Henry Fischer

We regret to announce the passing of Lloyd Henry Fischer of Didsbury, Alberta on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the age of 97.
Lloyd was born in Didsbury and with the exception of time overseas in World War II and a short term in the Carstairs Lodge, he spent his whole life there. Lloyd farmed west of town and raised his family there. He was active in his church community and a dedicated family man.
He leaves to grieve his daughter Jane; daughter-in-law Dorothy; grandchildren Christine, Kathleen, Sean, Dean and Daniel; great-grandchildren Kenadee and Nolan; brothers Raymond, Clair (Kay), Ron (Barbara) and many nieces and nephews. Lloyd will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Effie; son Dale; and sister Erna.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, 2037 - 24 Avenue, Didsbury, Alberta, on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00am. (Note: Please NO flowers or perfumes at the funeral). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1620 29 St NW, Suite 300 Calgary, AB T2N 4L7, or a donation of your choice.
