Tosello Fornai

Tosello Fornai passed away on December 30, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Tosello left his home country of Italy on September 3, 1950 via a ship which docked in Halifax, N.S. on September 16, 1950. He was under a government contract to work on a farm so he rode the train to Montreal where he met his employer Mr. Omar Lacrois, where he worked on a vegetable farm. When his farm contract was up he moved to Montral and worked in construction.
In 1960 he moved to Ottawa and in 1965 he met Agnes; they were married in a Catholic Church on September 30, 1967. In 1978 he moved to Calgary and worked as a tire man and service tech until 1993 when he retired.
He lived in the communities of Crossfield in 1981 moving to Carstairs in 1989 and then 2004 to Didsbury.
A Graveside Service was held at Crossfield Cemetery on Monday, January 9, 2019.
