Angela "Angie" Patricia Sinclair
August 13th, 2018
Angela Patricia Sinclair, lovingly known as ’Angie’, passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Extendicare on August 13, 2018, 3 days shy of her 86th birthday. Angie was born one of seven children on August 16,1932 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan as Angeline P. Prybylski.
She was predeceased by her parents, Annie and William Prybylski, husband Barney Johnson, and most recently husband Kenneth Sinclair. Also predeceased were Angie's step-daughters Janine Jakubowych and Cheryll McCracken. Angela’s siblings, Olga and Frank (deceased) Prybylski, Mary and Fred Lazurko (both deceased), Rose and Paul (deceased) Karcha, Orest and Evangelina Prybylski (both deceased), Adele and Ernie Horobetz, and Margaret and Steve Walter, remember her fondly. Another male in her life was her very fat cat ’Joey’, who she doted upon.
Angie lived her working years in Alberta, eventually retiring from a 12-year employment with Anadarko. She was social woman known for her scorekeeping at cards, her affection for bingo days, and her fashion, but not for her cooking skills! Her bright smile will be sadly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Braeside Community Centre, 11024 Braeside Drive SW, Calgary on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 12-3 pm. Please join us to share memories of Angela. The family wishes to express their extreme gratitude to the wonderfully supportive and compassionate care given to Angie by the Hillcrest Extendicare 2nd floor, especially to nurses Donna and Doreen. Also to the amazing ‘All About Seniors’ program. Her companion Heather, went above and beyond making her days pleasant and varied.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hillcrest Extendicare Happy Seniors Association, 1512 - 8th Ave. NW, Calgary, T2N 1C1, or to Calgary Humane Society, 4455 110 Ave. SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2T7.
