SYMBALISTY, Katherine
September 21, 2022
Loving mother, Katherine 'Kay' Symbalisty, entered the Lord's presence on September 21, 2022, at the age of 86, only four months after the loss of her beloved husband of 59 years, Morris Symbalisty (96).
Kay was born to Adam & Mary Wabischewich on April 20, 1937, in Stolin, Poland, and immigrated to Canada in 1939, escaping Europe just weeks before World War II broke out. The Wabischewich family established their new farming homestead near Arborg, Manitoba. Upon graduation, Kay had a career as a stenographer to the Minister of Education in Manitoba. Kay was introduced to Morris in 1961 by Helen & Walter Storozuk, and they were married on July 14, 1962, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1978, Kay & Morris moved to Calgary, Alberta, from Thompson, Manitoba.
Kay was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. She spent many hours dedicated to prayer and helping others. One of Kay's favourite scriptures was John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This was Kay's wish for you to know and accept the love of Jesus into your heart so that you may have eternal life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donald 'Donny' Symbalisty, Denise Ward (Gary), and Bruce Symbalisty (Debbie); her grandchildren, Gabrielle & Elizabeth Symbalisty, Emma Symbalisty, Kyle & Rachelle Ward; her beloved brother, Peter Wabischewich; and also numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kay's name to Crossroads – Life Changing Stories – https://donate.crossroads.ca.Messages:
