Brian Doubleday

Brian Robert Doubleday passed away peacefully with his family around him, at Jackman Manor in Aldergrove BC on September 17, 2024.

He was born November 16, 1940, in Shoal Lake MB. He leaves behind the love of his life, Velma Doubleday, his wife of 63 years, daughter Laurie Jeane (Kim), son Jeffrey Brent (Connie), sisters Pat Croy, Betty Ann Groves (Philip), and sister-in-law Linda. His parents Eileen and Bob, brother Jim, and best friends John Morton and Kent McDougall preceded Brian to the big house party in the sky.

Brian loved his five grandchildren Jeffrey, Maggie (Doug), Elizabeth (James), Victoria (Mat) and Tyler. Then came the great-grandchildren and oh we were no longer that important! Kaydence, William, Jayden, Pascal, Colt, Alice Jean and Duke became Brian’s loves.

Brian started his work life driving or fixing any vehicle he could. Stonewall MB, Thompson MB, Gilliam MB, Calgary AB, Brooks AB, Seymour Arm BC, and Langley BC were just some of the places he worked. He was the hardest working man and met so many people on his Life Journey. He made friends everywhere.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Amicus Place in Abbotsford BC on November 16, 2024, at 1:00pm.
