It is with a very sad heart that I bid farewell to my dear friend Benny. We became Toronto Blue Jay Fans together and never stopped. Mind you, I did all the work since I'm only 81. I would call Benny every game to let him know what channel, what time and who they were playing and where. Then I would call after the game and we would replay it. We sure had a lot of fun and lots of laughs as he sure liked jokes. His favorite became ones about small children and their point of view on life. Well my dear, save me a seat at the table and you, Lucy Alex & I can have a game of cards. I love you Benny ~ Barbara Leyes
Uncle Benny was one of the good ones in my life as I grew up. Always that lovely smile and twinkle in his eyes as he played his wonderful music. I wish there were more like him on this planet and will miss him ever so. Condolences to the entire family and all of us who will miss his presence. ~ Sonya Budd
It is with a very sad heart that I write this. Benny and I became awesome Toronto Blue Jay fans and what a trip we had. Of course I did all the work since I'm only 81. I called every day, and on game days I said what channel, what time, who we were playing and where we were playing. Of course, at the end of each game, if I was still up, I would call and we would replay the game all over again. We were great friends and I will miss him oh so much. His first love was his family and of course Lucy. Save me a seat at the table so you, Lucy, Alex and I can have a game of cards. I love you Benny ~ Barbara Leyes
Uncle Benny will be dearly missed. I so enjoyed our conversations over the years. He loved reminiscing about his childhood at the Ridge. I particularly enjoyed his laughter when he would recount stories of mischief that he and his siblings were involved in. Rest in Peace Uncle Benny. Love always, Sue ~ Susan Lynn Wolf
