This is sad news. Warren probably didn't know it, but he played a big part in my early life and helped to influence me musically; something I am ever grateful for. I can truly say that my life was made better having know Warren. Two quick memories: 1.) Warren engineering my audition tape to McGill University late at night after a long day of work 2.) Remembering Warren & his love for sports. Watched the young St.Onge boys playing whatever whenever in a "green space" just between our place and theirs. Louise and family: Very sorry for your loss. Warren was a great guy. First met him when we used to do one-nighters and rented vehicles from Penny's. Dearest St. Onge family, I met our Warren when he was doing sound for a CBC show called InSecurity. It was the first show on national TV that I had been cast as a lead in and I was incredibly nervous and excited. As soon as we arrived on set in Saskatchewan, I felt like we were home. The crew was such a welcoming sincere fun group of people and it felt like we were all at camp together. Every day we would show up and report in to Warren's landing pad of sound and he would be there with his serene presence and warm smile. He was patient, sweet and a wonderful fellow. I know he spent a lot of time listening to our ridiculous antics on set and probably many more ridiculous stories off set. I'm sure many days we gave him an earful! Yet there he was day in day out on his peaceful lily pad of sound. We will miss him dearly and send you and your whole family healing sound waves and love. Warren touched a lot of people so what can I say that hasn't already been said? I first came to know Warren professionally through his work at Inner City Sound, later at Talking Dog. He taught me how to use ProTools (and subsequently hired me to edit dialogue). I still use ProTools in my job at Rawlco radio to this day), he taught me about sound recording, both in-studio with bands and on film set locations. He taught me a lot about golf, a passion we both shared ... but none of that is as precious as the fact that he taught me how to be a decent human being and a good friend ... how to support someone without being judgmental but at the same time, to say what needs to be said. He wasn't more than about 5'6" but I always, always looked up to him. There will be a void in my life, and the lives of many others. I love you brother. ~ Larry McCormick
