Jaime Awa passed away at 81 on November 15, 2023.  Jaime was born in Manila, Philippines on July 11, 1942.

Jaime or better known as Jimmy Ocarisawa in the film industry, enjoyed his career as a Scriptwriter, Singer, Assistant Film Director and Journalist. He was a very creative person and worked alongside Celebrities like Inday Badiday, Nida Blanca and Dolphy to name a few.

Jaime is survived by his wife Nora Awa and an abundance of family and friends.  We will miss him more than words can say.

Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Coquitlam on December 7th at noon.

Jimmy, I will miss you very much. It is always a delight to hear your calm voice and you always talk about my late husband Victor and your memorable good times which is very comforting. Now, it will be only Nora to talk to when I call. However, It is very consoling to know that you are now in joyful and peaceful Heavenly place with the Lord. Here, I ask for the Good Lord to look after Nora as well. Your memory will always stay alive in our hearts forever and ever till we meet again in time God also takes us home where we belong.
