Lorain Verna Loomer
June 9th, 2020
Lorain Verna Loomer passed away on Tuesday, June 9 2020 in Red Deer. She was born to Eric Bardenhagen and Linda Matthews on 5 November 1939 in Eckville. She married Grant Loomer June 2, 1961. They were blessed with two sons, Bradley and Kelly.
Lou was an extremely hard worker around the farm and always had a beautiful yard. She loved her garden and flower beds and kept everything free of weeds.
When her husband Grant passed away in September 1994, she continued to farm until she was trampled by a cow. After that she travelled on cruises to various places with Grant’s cousin Sandy.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her loving family, sons, Bradley Loomer and Kelly (Marie) Loomer; grandchildren, Riley, Dustin (Karoline), and Cody; great Granchildren, Blake, Sirenna, and Kyra; brother, Bruce (Joan) Bardenhagen, sister Ruby Cherniak; and brother and sister in law, George and Heather Loomer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She will be dearly missed by all of us.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Lorain's memory may be made to the Red Deer Hospice, 99 Arnot Ave. Red Deer, AB T4R 3S6.
