Ralph Bennett Olver
March 24, 1932 – June 4, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Olver announces his passing on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the age of 89 years.
Ralph was born March 24, 1932, on the Olver home farm near Corning, Saskatchewan. He spent much time working away from his home and his travels took him to Ontario and British Columbia. He made his final residence in Red Deer, Alberta.
Ralph enjoyed curling and had many trophies to show that he was good at the sport. Later years he tried his hand at gardening and shared the bounties with his neighbors. He enjoyed watching all Sports and kept up on local and world news. There was no topic that was off limits. He had a soft spot for a stray cat that adopted him when he first moved to Red Deer.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Mable and Jesse Olver; brothers, Hugh Olver, John Olver; sister, Dorcas Clark; sisters-in-laws, June Olver, Esther Olver and Lilian Holm; and niece Gail Grzech.
He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Marshall Olver of Esterhazy; his sister-in-law, Flora Olver of Corning ; and brother-in-law, Norman Clark of Regina; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
There will be no Service as to Ralph’s request. We ask that you remember him in your own special way. If you care to donate in his honor, donations can be made to the Red Deer & District SPCA, 4505-77 Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4P 2J1.
Ralph, “You will always be loved and in our hearts”.
