STALDEKER, Rose Katherine
1937 - 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rose Staldeker, 84, at The Red Deer Regional Hospital surrounded by her family on Monday, December 20, 2021.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Vic; 3 daughters, Cathy (Clay), Laurie (Steve) and Bonnie (Dan); 7 grandchildren, Dean, Stephanie, Eric, Kristin, Bryscn, Kasey and Kyle; 3 great grandchildren Jacob, Kinsley and Kayley; and special nephew, Kim. Mom was predeceased by her dad, Mike; mom, Olga and only sibling, Nick.
Mom was born in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine and immigrated with her family to Camrose, AB in 1949. She met dad at her future brother-in-law’s & sister-in-law’s wedding and married in 1957. They shortly then moved to Red Deer where they raised their family and retired.
Mom took great pride in keeping her home lovely and was always ready and willing to help her family. Her care for her loved ones was amazing. Our family gatherings will never be the same, but we will always remember all the love, support & strength she brought to our lives.
Mom was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, bingo, crocheting but most of all spending time with her family.
Many thanks to Dr. Ligate for the care she gave mom throughout the years! A private family Graveside Service will take place at Alto Reste Cemetery. We hold you dear, mom. We love you and will miss you beyond measure!Messages:
Sending my condolences to all your family from old neighbors from Woodlea. My siblings and I lost our parents in '98 and '03. I'm always happy to connect with old acquaintances. After 56 years I still recall sisters Cathy and Laurie as playmates along 42nd Ave. You will recall memories of your wife and mother for comfort going into the future. Take care all, Lynn Sorsdahl
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Vic and all of Rose's wonderful family. I have known Rose for many years. She was a kind, hard working person with a great sense of humor. The most important thing to know about Rose was her love of family. When she spoke of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she positively glowed with pride and love. It is an honor and privilege to have known Rose. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. -- Barb Allan
Cathy, Clay and Family: So sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. May you hold many precious memories to help you through this difficult time. What a beautiful picture of her in the memorial obituary....just as I remember her! We needn't let go of the people we love when the time comes for them to depart, if we know the sweet secret of giving them a lifetime to live in the heart.♥️ Karen Pallister
