November 7, 1948 – July 12, 2021
Lorne was born in Wetaskiwan, Alberta on November 7, 1948 and left this world to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, July 12, 2021.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen of 33 years; mother-in-law, Joy Perry; sister-in-law, Deborah (Mansen) Way; brothers-in-law, Stephen (RuthAnn) Perry, and Ken (April) Perry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
As a child, Lorne grew up in the Buck Lake area. He married Karen (Wong) on May 21, 1988. During their married life they lived in Camrose, High Prairie, moved back to Camrose, Clive and recently moved to Lacombe.
Lorne enjoyed traveling, camping and loved any kind of auction, or garage sale. He also enjoyed working with his hands building or repairing, and was quite willing to tackle anything. Lorne had several jobs and occupations throughout his lifetime. He worked in a sawmill, worked in the oil patch, worked in a tire shop, as a pipefitter, taxi driver, machinist, and also worked on farms.
Lorne loved meeting new people, and visiting with anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Clive Baptist Church on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorne’s memory to The Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, 124, 430 – 6 Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 2S8.
To Karen and family, We are so very sorry to hear of Lorne's passing. We send our heartfelt sympathy and our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. He was a true gentleman that we will all dearly miss.
