Messages:

Dad, Thinking of you lots lately. We had our fair share of ups and downs, but at the end of the day, you're still my dad and I love you. I don’t regret a lot of things but I absolutely regret letting anger get in the way of the little remaining time we had and by association opening the door for Mark to take advantage of you. You’d be really proud of the young woman Jade is becoming. I know it’s incredibly hard for her without you. I’ve done my best to fill that void but it’s never exactly the same and nor should it be. Wherever you are, I can at least take some comfort in knowing that you aren’t suffering. Watching the last weeks was awful and I’m hoping you were able to hear me when I spoke to you even though you couldn’t respond. Love you and miss you.

Very sad to hear that Randy passed away...I have thought about him over the years and smiled at the good times we shared in our youth. It has been many years since I have seen Randy and I'm very shocked he passed. RIP my friend... My condolences to all his family.

Randy we will be thinking of you today knowing that you are free. We will miss you always. Regina will always now be void of a lifelong friend. Thank you for all the laughs and fun as both a friend and our bud from down the street. Our thoughts are with your family in this difficult time. Thank you too all who ensured Randy was cared for and embraced in constant warmth and support. We will always love you. Rest in peace my friend.

Many beautiful comments and yes, he was a great character. While we talked on the phone during his illness, he was so upbeat and could make me giggle. I love you, Randy. God will be celebrating your birthday with you May first.

A sad day indeed. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends, and especially to his kids. A special thank you and huge shout out to Mark and Murray as well as Ang and others who were - and still are - there for him during his time of need. I wish I could be present today to share in celebrating how special and unique of a man Randy was I reconnected and visited with Randy this past summer, just after he had learnt of his illness. His outlook, good natured spirit and integrity at such a difficult time was nothing short of amazing. As I reflect back, it's obvious to me that Randy has always upheld those traits and done so in a manner that has made us all feel comfortable, welcomed and cared for. He's a special man and my hope is that he's now comfortable and well cared for.

We are very fortunate to have been able to meet you Randy! We had few, but always great times together. Shelann, Jared & Jade, we extend our heart felt sympathy to you all. XOXOX

To Shelann, Jared & Jade, we extend to you our heart felt sympathy in the loss of Randy. The love that you hold in your hearts for Randy can never be taken away & will stay with you forever.

Randy, My cousin who is my uncle that treated me like a brother. Always a quick smile and laugh that made our problems go away. You never took charity which I could not quite understand. Whenever others were in need you never hesitated to help. You showed sincerity and always looked us in the eye when we had something to say. Your love for your daughter Jade and son Jared have always been present. You did the best you could to provide for them and be a father. You are big part of my life and always will. You were always there for us when in need. The last time we were together you looked up, searching for my eyes so we could say "see ya later'. Our eyes met. I said "see later Randy". you said "see you later Mike"

We'll miss you forever. I wonder when the tears will dry. Love you Randy. Your sister Carol and brother-in-law

It was a pleasure working with you over the many years Randy. We are going to miss your stories. Our condolences go out to Jared and Jade. From your many friends at Wheat City Metals

Wow, it Was a shock to hear of Randy's passing. Unfortunately we didn't stay in touch much since we were teenagers. I will still miss him though, he was a good friend for many years, it was always like old home coming when every we happen to run into each other What I remember most of him was that he was always friendly and caring about others. Always welcomed anyone, old friend or new into his home and life, and never made you feel like an outsider. My thoughts and Prayer's go out to Jared, Jade, and the entire family! I will be thinking of you all, through this very difficult time.

My sincere sympathy, Don and Heather.
