Andy passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Victoria (nee Horvath) Voss; sisters Helen, Julia, Eva, Victoria; brothers John and Frank. Andy is survived by his sisters Margaret and Mary; children David (Annette), Loretta (Blair), Richard, Greg (Donna); grandchildren Candice (Aaron), Bradley, Carmen and Samantha; great-grandchild Bryden; step-grandchildren Adam and Melissa; great step-grandchildren Reese, West and Macey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Andy was born on December 2, 1927 on the family farm northeast of Cupar. He grew up with his 2 brothers and 6 sisters. He married Lillian Bereti on October 11, 1955 and together they had 4 children. They moved from Cupar to Alberta and then to Regina in 1965 where they bought a house at 30 Robinson Crescent where Andy lived until his stroke in 2008. He worked for CP Transport until 1974 and then Sasktel until he retired in 1992. Andy was an energetic person always full of life. He loved to talk and tell jokes and stories. He was a hard worker. He walked everywhere he could. He loved to garden and cook of which some of his favourite dishes were stuffed peppers, soup, kocsonya, and making pickles. He also loved to tinker outside and build things. He could fix anything. His passion was to collect antiques, especially old wood burning stoves. His greatest past time of all was spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He will be missed by all. Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Peter’s R.C. Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina, SK. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s R.C. Church. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens, Highway #1 East, Regina, SK. Special thanks to all the staff of William Booth Special Care Home for all their care and compassion given to Dad during his stay.
