Edith "Edie" Voss

On the morning of November 10, 2018, Edith “Edie” Voss passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Vernon, British Columbia. Edie was predeceased by her husband Steve Voss; parents Charles and Margaret Emberton; sisters Lillian Emberton, Elsie Emberton and May Ford; brothers-in-law Sid Ford, Frank Vass, Joe Vass, Jim Vass and Mike Vass; sisters-in-law Mary Tuttosi and Gloria Vass. She will be lovingly remembered by nieces Verna Nicholl, Cindy (Doug) Hovind; nephew Glen (Rita) Ford; brother-in-law Albert Vass; sisters-in-law Mary Vass and Jean Vass and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Edie was a hard worker, always up for a challenge and over the years she enjoyed successful careers in bookkeeping, banking, farming alongside her husband where they owned and boarded race horses, and finally operating her business, Anchor – Cross. She was a devout woman and she loved serving her church and her community. Her loyalty, kindness and spirit of fun resulted in everlasting friendships and she will be dearly missed. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Carmel of St. Joseph (4815 Salmon River Road, Armstrong, BC). Vigil Prayers were held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in St. James Roman Catholic Church (2607 27th Street, Vernon, BC). The Funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 19th, 2018 in St. James Roman Catholic Church (2607 27th Street, Vernon, BC). Vigil Prayers will now be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 425 Broad Street N., Regina, Saskatchewan. Interment will take place in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina, Saskatchewan.
