William Donald Ulmer
June 2nd, 2019
William Donald Ulmer, or more commonly known as Bill or "Red" Ulmer, passed away in the Regina General Hospital on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the age of 75 years.
Bill is survived by his children Bill (Lisa), Brad, and Mindy; siblings Garnet, Brenda (Mike), and Joyce; grandchildren Larissa, Brittni (Derrick), Emma and Jake; and great-grandchild Beltane.
He was predeceased by his siblings Larry and Grace; parents Frederick and Freda; as well as his beloved dogs Kelsey and Corkee.
Bill was born on October 19, 1943 in Melville, SK to Frederick William Ulmer and Freda Christine Parr. The oldest of six children, he worked from an early age to help support the family and sooner than later went on to having a family of his own. He worked hard and had fun with travel and adventure. A collector of sorts, he found beauty in the smallest of treasure. He will be deeply missed by his children and extended family.
Enjoy your timeless flight, Dad... xoxox
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina, SK.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

You always said " hello " and took the time to sit and have a beer with me, sharing a laugh and a smile and some tall tales . Every time I walked in a tavern I was always treated like a good friend, even though we only knew each other meeting at a local watering hole, you were famous in the hearts of many who only knew you as " RED ", and you my friend, I shall never forget. My Condolences to the Ulmer family R.I.P " Red"
Our Condolences to you all ... We are speechless and deeply saddened by your loss of someone as special as Bill. He will be sadly missed by all of us in your Dad's neighborhood. Bill befriended our Father and continued to look after us over the years. We were all fortunate to know him not only as a wonderful neighbor but also as a caring intelligent man, a trusting friend, a remarkable businessman and just the nicest of souls who looked after all of us when any of us were in need. From our Family to yours... Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Please advise us how we can pay our respects to Bill after your private service.

Sorry for everybody's loss. I sincerely send my condolences to my cousins, aunts and uncles. Losing a parent is never easy, and Uncle Red's passing was sudden. Uncle Red's circle of life is now complete, but his spirit lives on in his children, and their own. He'll always be a part of this world. I remember him as a strong, virile, and charming man who always had something interesting to share.
With great sorrow we Lauren Nichol Russell (Ulmer) Nathan John Friedrich Ulmer Lovingly will always remember and Cherish you your Gentle Kindness and Love of Family Rest in Peace my Brother
