Timothy John Wiest
August 8th, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Tim Wiest announces his sudden passing on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in Regina, SK. He will be lovingly remembered by his three children Cameron of Regina, SK, Elora (Jackson) of Yorkton, SK and granddaughter Juniper, and Dylan of Calgary, AB; his three brothers Murray (Josie), Pat (Debbie) and Jim (Alie); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tim was born on February 7, 1959 to parents Frederick and Julianna Wiest in Regina, SK. Tim passed shortly before his 30th anniversary at Inland Audio Visual where he enjoyed many years of work and friendships. He frequented Regina’s dog parks where he would spend time with friends and his dogs, Chase and Finn. He was a talented photographer who could often be seen with a camera in his hand and was one of Regina Folk Festival’s photographers for a number of years. Tim also enjoyed camping with his friends and family throughout the province.
Tim left us far too early. He was a great friend and father. He was a great listener who was always up for a coffee and a chat.
Tim was cremated, as requested, and a Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. in the G. Marconi Italian Club, 2148 Connaught Street, Regina, Saskatchewan.Messages:
Boy am I going to miss my cousin Tim. First of all what great memories I have of his mom - my aunty Julie. Over many years she and my mom spent countless hours and boy do I mean countless - on the phone and visiting with each other. There was indeed a magic connection there. Then came my real and lasting connection to Tim - I was his teacher in grade 6 at St. Patrick school. This young lad was interested in EVERYTHING - his thirst could not be satiated. His cheerful, caring attitude brightened all our lives and was a gift that made me really look forward - daily - to getting back to that class. At this moment, precious names from that class come to mind - so any of you out there - know that you are often thought of with appreciation in my now retired years. Sandra, David, Greg, Lisa and MANY more you are just a sampling. Tim as an adult and I had some very precious visits through the years. Time was often spent reminiscing. Family was always foremost on his mind next to a common love of ours - photography. There's a story to when and where that love began. I am deeply, deeply saddened that we did not get together in the last few months as we had hoped. We (I) let the pace of our lives get in the way. There is a lesson here for all of us. Tim you big hearted, kind, loved and caring soul - Rest Peacefully till we all join up together one day.
My deepest condolences to Timmy’s family! So many memories growing up with him and my other “big brothers”. Even though I hadn’t seen him much over the years he was still family! Miss you always! Your little Schubert sister!
Tim and I spent many hours chatting while our dogs played. He, along with Finn and Chase, hosted many board meetings where we strategized how to improve Regina's dog parks. Conversations were always lively and fueled by coffee and a smoke or two. I will miss our visits. The world has lost a lovely man. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
I’m really going to miss you BRO . our many discussions over the years and me seeking out your advice about electronic devices and such things .You were the keeper of the family photos and fittingly so as you were the expert in that field and occasionally sent some out that were a real “ Blast from the past “ . Love you man RIP Jim
My condolences to hear the passing of Tim to you and your families! He was a beautiful person inside and out! He will be missed!
So sorry to hear about the loss of Tim. He was always such a kind person. I remember him when he used to live on Hanbidge Crescent for a while may he Rest In Peace
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wiest brothers and families and of course his children who he loved dearly and talked about often. We never went to Regina, whether we lived in Victoria or Lethbridge, and always visited Uncle Fred and Aunt Julie and Tim always made sure he stopped in to visit while we were there. We will miss you dearly Tim. With fond and loving memories.
