Leo John Ziegler

It is with profound sadness our family announces that Leo John Ziegler passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the age of 75 years.  He was predeceased by his parents Paulina and Sebastian Ziegler and his son Stephen (Dec. 2010).  Leo leaves to mourn his loving wife Marg; granddaughter Morgan of La Ronge, SK; her mother Lindsay of Saskatoon. SK; sister Jeanette (Jim) Hipfner of Regina, SK; mother-in-law Mabel Lomas of Saskatoon, SK; brothers-in-law Rick Lomas of Vancouver, BC and Bill (Gayle) Lomas of Saskatoon, SK; very special family Jason and Kara, Payton and Maddy of Regina, SK; as well as numerous extended family and friends.  Leo was born at Qu’Appelle, SK and grew up on the family farm and then moved to Regina for employment.  He married Margaret Lomas in 1966. To the union was born one son Stephen.  Leo enjoyed his retirement as a professional driver in early 2000.  He loved his family, church, his yard, and the Riders. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Dr., Regina, SK. Flowers gratefully declined.  Donations in Leo’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.

Marg and Morgan, We loved Leo. It’s unbelievable how suddenly he died, yet we can be relieved he didn’t suffer. May his soul Rest In Peace. May God give you strength and peace in the coming months. Take care of yourselves and each other. Grieve is a very hard thing. Always there for you.
