Glen David Forrester
September 11th, 2020
On Friday September 11, 2020 we lost our sweet soul, Glen David Forrester at the age of 49 years. His brave battle with cancer concluded at home with the love of his life, Reagan, and his family by his side.
He was predeceased by his father, Lionel Forrester and Bob the cat. He is survived by his devoted wife Reagan Haus; stepson Trystan Haus; mother Matilda Forrester; sister Jill Forrester; brother-in-law Roger Petry; nephews Jon and Chris Petry; and many extended family members near and far.
As a child, Glen had fond memories of summers at Diefenbaker Lake and family road trips to B.C., Manitoba, and the U.S.. Glen loved the mountains of B.C. and always dreamed of retiring there. He loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. His love of cars began with his dad as they worked on vehicles together at a family friend’s garage. Glen’s ability to identify make, model, and year of cars was impressive. He would drag Reagan along to visit car dealerships often.
Glen made lifelong friends everywhere he went. Although Glen was a quiet guy his great sense of humour and easy-going nature made everyone around him comfortable and welcomed. His smile, his laughter and big blue eyes would light up a room.
Heavy metal music was a huge part of Glen’s life from a young age and it needed to be played at maximum volume. Going to concerts near and far was something he loved to do with friends. His philosophy in life; work hard, play hard. Glen was a hard-working man at every job he did from being a bartender, milkman, truck driver to working in the oil fields to name a few. Later on in life, Glen picked up the art of glass blowing and cannabis agriculture.
Glen built his family when he met Reagan in 2006. He never knew he wanted kids, but he became a stable and loving stepdad to Trystan. Glen had a lot of pride in the home he made with Reagan. He loved being home and spending time in his backyard hosting bar-b-ques for family and parties with friends. Soon after meeting, Reagan and Glen got the travel bug. Every winter they got away to either Cuba, Mexico, Panama, or Dominican Republic. Their last vacation in 2019 was Glen’s dream destination, Costa Rica. Life didn’t slow Glen down as he married the love of his life, Reagan on February 1, 2020 after 14 years together. They were two peas in a pod.
A Celebration of Glen’s Life will be announced at a later date. A special shout out to the doctors and angels (nurses) at the Palliative Care Unit 3A and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre.

Met Glen through his wife Reagan while working together at the same company. Sat in the back yard and enjoyed some after work drinks. Hit it off with Glen right off, great personality and great man. Going to miss the get togethers. R.I.P Glen- no more pain and suffering.
Forever when I think of Glen, I will hear his awesome gravely laugh and bear hugs. I am so lucky that Glen was a friend and brother to me growing up. So many memories, so many laughs and so many stupid decisions made by the whole group of us. Reagan, I ran into Glen not long after you started dating. He was so proud to tell me all about you and your son. I swear his bright blue eyes glowed talking about you. My sincerest condolences to all of Glen's family - by birth & by friendship.
I have so many memories of Glen growing up. Parties, mullet haircuts, concerts, driving on black ice and a few drinks. He still puts a smile on my face. All the best to Reagan, Trystan, Matilda and Jill in this difficult time.
Glen is a man you'll never forget! His enthusiasm for life, love for his friends & family and he always has a smile for u. We will cherish the many memories we have and send our prayers and love to Reagan and family.
Glen lived across the street from me when we were growing up. We became fast friends, and got into all kinds of trouble together. While we drifted apart during high school because we went to different schools, I will always consider him a friend and treasure many memories we created together. I recall the excitement I felt everytime I was invited to go to the lake with him. We had such great times at Palliser climbing up and down the cliffs, fishing, and catching minnows. I recall building massive snow forts in the winter with him. I recall the wide games we played around Pappas Cres area as kids. I recall listening to the Aldo Nova album when it first came out. Replaying Fantasy over and over in his living room. Every time I look in the mirror, I am reminded of him. ;) When we were kids we were digging potatoes. He told me not to stand behind him, I forgot and got a spade to the face. I will look fondly on this scar and remember all the good times we had together. Jordan
