Sharlene "Glenda" Lacelle

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Sharlene “Glenda” Lacelle, late of Regina, Saskatchewan on July 12, 2020 at the age of 54 years.
Glenda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma and took every moment to make memories with her grandkids. She had a vivacious personality and a laugh to match, easily making friends everywhere she went.
She leaves behind a beautiful family that she was very proud of. Glenda was world-renowned for her huge personality, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. Glenda was the strongest woman you could have ever met. She wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce Mama Bear.
She spent her time attending her grandkids sporting events cheering them on so even the other team knew which kid she was there to support. She loved to make sure the grandkids knew she was there.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Tyler Lacelle and daughter Jatanna Lacelle along with her grandchildren (Tyler) Keegan, Ethan and Adrian, (Jatanna) Stetsyn. She will be missed by her sisters Myrna Borth, Donna Jack (Bruce) and her brother Howard Jestin (Debbie), as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Glenda was predeceased by her loving parents Ivy and Wilbert Jestin and her sister Colleen Hooker.
A private ceremony will be held to honor her memory. The Family has organized a Celebration of Life on July 25, 2020 between 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 1319 Dover Ave., Regina, SK. They ask that you bring a photo of your fondest memory of Glenda to aid in the celebration.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the individuals and first responders for their care and compassion of Glenda on scene.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in honor of Glenda Lacelle.

So sorry for your loss Tyler, Jatanna, Rod, and families. Thoughts and prayers. What a tragedy! Lots of memories working the canteen in the old soccer facility and seeing her around the Evraz concessions, as well as, the neighborhood from McDermid and Usher. It was nice catching up and seeing your smile a few weeks ago while out for a COVID-walk! RIP Glenda!

Tyler, Jatanna I was shocked and saddened to hear about your mom. I have many fond memories of our times together when we lived on Dover Ave. Your mom and family welcomed us to the neighbourhood, and we had many enjoyable times together. You are in my thoughts, and prayers my heart goes out to you and your families.

I met Glenda as a teenager through a mutual friend. Her smile, laugh and easy going personality what I remember the most. Francis and I, along with our children were reacquainted with her, Tyler & Jantanna when we purchased at Sherwood Forest. It was so nice to reconnect with her and her family through mutual friends once again. Glenda was always such a warm and loving mom and friend. Dear Tyler and Jatanna I was so very sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She was an amazing lady who cared about nothing more than her children, and I am sure her grandchildren. I have fond memories of her stopping in the classroom to visit and check up on how her kids were, as well as always providing Tyler with enough baking that he could share with me. A special memory of my McDermid school days. My thoughts and prayers are with you both....

It was with deep shock and sorrow to hear of Glenda’s sudden passing. Gone way too soon...we had some good times in the past and I will remember the laughter and good times we had. I hadn't seen Glenda in a couple years, just a reminder that we shouldn't let our busy lives take over too much. Rest in peace, you will be missed by so many!

I am so very sorry about Glenda. I have many, many special memories of the times her & I spent together when we were younger. We spent so much time together & whether we were in Regina, at my house, or at Donna’s, or in Kronau or Stoughton or wherever we were, we made the best of our time together. I loved her, she was a very good friend to me, her smile and her laugh were very contagious. I didn’t see a lot of her these past years, but whenever I did, it was just like the old days, I will miss her. Not seeing a friend, because everyone gets busy with life, is sad, but at least you knew they were there. Knowing she’s gone leaves me broken-hearted. I’m sending my deepest, heart-felt sympathy & condolences to all of Glenda’s family and friends. RIP my friend ❤️

Such a big-hearted, hard-working person to lose their life in such a tragic way. Glenda lived for her kids and grandkids and was bigger than life in many ways. She was an important part of my work life and helped my office be a happy welcoming place for many years. We laughed, we cried and I will always remember her.
