Winston Harold Church

December 4th, 2022

It is with deep sorrow we mourn the loss of Winston after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 80 years.

Winston was born in Radville, SK where he met his childhood sweetheart May.  As an extremely close couple, they created a beautiful life at their acreage near Balgonie, SK, raising their family and living there for 49 years before moving into town recently. Winston worked for Sakundiak Equipment (Meridian) for 44 years. He was a man of faith who loved his family, music, singing in the choir, and using his skills to fix, maintain and design whatever he desired. His arms were never lonely once he had his grandsons.

Winston was predeceased by his son Gary; parents Charles and Lillian; siblings Donald, Charlotte (Earl) Rasmussen, Ann (Clarence) Little, Shirley (Allen) Huckabay; in-laws Adolf and Astrid Appelquist; and brother-in-law Eric Appelquist.

Left to cherish Winston’s memory are his loving wife of 59 years May (Appelquist); daughter Sheryl (John) Price; grandchildren Thomas and Alex Price (fiancée Anna Barnard); daughter-in-law Vivienne Sich; his sisters Edna and Eunice (Joe) Daku; sisters-in-law Anna Appelquist, Marlene (Gerry) Van de Sype and Joyce Church; and all his special nephews, nieces and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit 3A for their tender care; any donations in lieu of flowers may be made to this unit.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
