Née le 29 avril 1958 à Gravelbourg, SK de ses parents Émile Hamon et Thérèse Brière.

Eveline avait sept frères et soeurs: John, Annette (Gérard Breton), Denise (Renald Liboiron), Robert (Elaine Mailhot), Alyce (Joe Fafard), Laurette (John Walker) et Michel.

Elle a été précédée par ses parents, son père Émile et sa mère Thérèse, ses frères Robert et Michel, et beau-frére Joe Fafard.

Eveline laisse dans le deuil son conjoint de toujours Bernard Chénier, ainsi que ses neveux et nièces qu’elle considérait ses enfants: Denis, Colette, Denise (Jordan Garnett), Camille (Matt Chase), Roxanne (James McLellan), Dominique, Michel (Jennifer Bond) Nanette (Chad Kleemola) Danielle (Bob Farrell), Marielle (Amr Abdelkader), Chantal, Gabriel (Kristen Huel), Solenne, Julien, Joël (Adrianna Bobbitt), Marc (Melanie Giambattista) Émilie (Christine Jodoin) et Sylvie (Gabriel Gosselin) ainsi que ses arrières neveux et nièces: Hannah, Xander, Shelby, Marseille, Maclean, Martial, Noah, Léa, Chloé, Gabriel, Claire, Adrien, Elianne, Émile, Alexie, Joliève, Robert, Jeremy, Dawson et Juno. Elle laisse également dans le deuil de nombreux/ nombreuses cousin(e)s, ami(e)s, et collègues.

Eveline a chéri sa communauté fransaskoise avec tout son coeur.

Elle a travaillé pour la GRC avec un dévouement extrême pendant de nombreuses années. Ses collègues étaient sa famille élargie.

Sa passion pour le bricolage était incomparable. Elle a laissé à ses proches d'innombrables cartes

et cadeaux faits à la main. Les fêtes et les occasions spéciales étaient toujours marquées par les cartes et les appels de Matante Eveline.

Elle a enseigné le français de conversation pendant de nombreuses années. Ses élèves se souviendront toujours de son enthousiasme et de sa passion pour la langue.

Matante va beaucoup nous manquer. Comme matante nous a souvent dit,  “On a besoin du closure!”. Matante, on espère qu’on t’a donné le closure que tu as bien mérité.

Au lieu de fleurs, des dons peuvent être faits à La Fondation fransaskoise (www.jedonneenligne.org/fondationfransaskoise/DG/?FpsUID8=40&FpsUID9=64). Ses funérailles auront lieu à une date à déterminer.

Eveline had seven siblings: John, Annette (Gérard Breton), Denise (Renald Liboiron), Robert (Elaine Mailhot), Alyce (late Joe Fafard), Laurette (John Walker) and Michel.

She was predeceased by her parents, her father Emile and her mother Thérèse, her brothers Robert and Michel, in addition to her brother-in-law Joe Fafard.

Eveline is survived by her lifelong partner Bernard Chénier, as well as her nephews and nieces, whom she considered her children: Denis, Colette, Denise (Jordan Garnett), Camille (Matt Chase), Roxanne (James McLellan), Dominique, Michel (Jennifer Bond) Nanette (Chad Kleemola) Danielle (Bob Farrell), Marielle (Amr Abdelkader), Chantal, Gabriel (Kristen Huel), Solenne, Julien, Joël (Adrianna Bobbitt), Marc (Melanie Giambattista) Émilie (Christine Jodoin) and Sylvie (Gabriel Gosselin) as well as her great nephews and nieces Hannah, Xander, Shelby, Marseille, Maclean, Martial, Noah, Léa, Chloé, Gabriel, Claire, Adrien, Elianne, Émile, Alexie, Joliève, Robert, Jeremy, Dawson, and Juno. She also leaves to mourn many cousins, colleagues and friends.

Eveline cherished her Fransaskois (French) community with all her heart.

She worked for the RCMP with extreme dedication for many years. Her colleagues were her extended family.

Her passion for crafting was unmatched. She left her loved ones countless handmade cards and gifts to cherish. Birthdays and special occasions were always marked by calls and cards from Matante Eveline.

She taught conversational French for many years, and her students will always remember her enthusiasm and passion for the language.

Matante will be so missed. Like she often said “We need closure!”. Matante, we hope we gave you the closure you well deserved.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to La Fondation fransaskoise (www.jedonneenligne.org/fondationfransaskoise/DG/?FpsUID8=40&FpsUID9=64). Her funeral will be held at a date to be determined.

My sincere condolences to all of Ev’s family. I am very saddened to hear of her passing. I had the pleasure of working with Ev (or “Evie” as I called her) for over 12 years. As we all know, she was a great talker who always tried to “make a long story short”, but she was also a great listener with a great big heart. My heart broke when I heard the news of Ev's passing. My thoughts immediately went to her sisters that she spoke of so often. I remember Ev's first day in the RCMP and loved having her on my team for so many years, we worked together for 12 years. Ev's compassion and respect for others was immeasurable and she always seemed to know when you needed a kind word to lift your spirits (and quite often a beautifully handmade card followed). I will miss her so very much. My heartfelt condolences go out to her sisters, her life partner and the rest of the family as they go through this difficult time and loss. ~ Kathy Scherbluk

My sincerest condolences to Evelin’s family and friends for your loss. We started elementary school together and through our school years, I was always impressed with the passion Evelin showed challenging teachers opinions and discussing topics she expressed her passion for. She loved her french heritage and her family. I still smile thinking about the energy she had. ~ Denis Martin
