Gerald Wayne Heisler
October 8th, 2022
Gerald Wayne Heisler, late of Davin, SK passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the age of 72 years.
Gerald was predeceased by his father Adam, and his daughter Ernestina. Left to cherish his memory close are his mother Martha; his loving partner Helene; his daughters Alberta (Todd), Rina (Kyle) Delta and his son J.J.; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his brothers and sister.
Gerald was the second born son of Martha and Adam Heisler in Regina, SK. He attended Balfour Collegiate. He had a few jobs before starting a career at the Molson Brewery in Regina where he was a Class 2 Steam Engineer for most of his employment. He retired from Molson’s, a year after the brewery closed.
Gerry loved many people and things, his spouse, family, his children and grandchildren, the many people he called friends, his farm, followed by things like playing football, being the goalie for the Molson’s hockey team, hunting, fishing, archery shoots, trail rides, karaoke, collecting of many different things, and driving as fast as he could no matter what he was driving or where he was going.
The following are just a few things we know he will be remembered by many for: his famous “Redeye” drink, his sense of humor, being a wild mountain man on the prairies, his nickname Bullfrog, the feathers in his hat, his deadly shot whether it was archery or a rifle, his love of singing/music, his willingness to help anyone who needed it, and spending time out and about with friends/buddies.
After 72 years of a fulfilling life, he will always be remembered as our beloved Bullfrog, the man with feathers in his cowboy hat.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October, 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aspen Links Event Centre, 310 Emerald Park Road, Emerald Park, SK.
