Lesli Lynne Jolly
May 16th, 2022
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Lesli Jolly in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan on May 16, 2022 after fighting an aggressive cancer diagnosis.
Lesli is survived by her sister Debra Hamilton (Hugh Fisher) of Kingston, Ontario; her nephews Jordan Hamilton (Deborah) of Calgary, Alberta and Aaron Hamilton (Rain) of Perth, Ontario; and the many cousins she regularly corresponded with. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Lois and Douglas Jolly.
Lesli was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on May 2, 1954, but the family moved many times through her childhood with her bank manager father. She began high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and graduated from Campbell Collegiate in Regina in 1972.
Lesli spent her childhood summers at the family cottage in B-Say-Tah in the Qu’Appelle Valley and experienced her happiest days swimming, boating, hill climbing and memorable walks around Echo Lake with her sister Debra and Ottawa cousins Trice and Bev. Lesli always considered B-Say-Tah her real home.
Lesli loved to read and was proud of her eclectic book collection which has been donated to the library at Mutchmor Lodge. She was an avid CBC listener and Facebook quizzer and was always happy to comment on the story of the day. Thank you to the many friends Lesli enjoyed at Mutchmor Lodge for brightening her days.
We are very grateful to the Palliative Care team at the Pasqua Hospital for their care and attention in Lesli’s final days, to the staff at Mutchmor Lodge who provided her final home, to friends Brenda Sherring and Bettyann Cox for visits with Lesli during her last two days and to Jennifer at Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services for her care and support.
May the dreams you hold dearest
Be those which come true,
And the kindness you spread
Keep returning to you.

We were so sorry to get this unexpected news of Lesli's passing. Our condolences, Deb, from your West Coast Cousins. Duff remembers all the antics at the cottage in the early years and although I never met Lesli in person, I always enjoyed our correspondence and interactions on FB. Big Hugs, Sue & Duff xoxo
My condolences on the loss of your sister Debbie. Give me a call sometimes.
Hi Deb, Love'ingly done. I hold the adventures we had at B-Say-Tah very close. I remember going on back road trips with our Dad's, in a CIBC seized truck, and exploring abandoned homes. Sleeping outdoors and waiting for the Honeyman to clip clop by to empty our shitter. Tipping our row boat with your Mum inside. She was such a good sport!! Water skiing, with lit bullrushes, behind Mr Glazes powerful boat. Among many other memories! Our memories will sustain us. Beverley Cameron
Rest in peace Lesli your loving parents Doug and Lois were surely there to greet you ! Z2y9bq

It is hard to say good bye to a dear Sister and Aunt. She will stay with you always in your memories. My thoughts are with you all.
I never got to meet you in person, ( almost once ), but I sure heard lots of stories about you and the heartfelt sister bond you had with Debra your sister. She talked of you on many of our walks. I know Debra loved you very much. We will keep talking about your stories. Elisabeth
You'll be missed Lesli. I always remember our happy times at the cottage and while you lived in Ottawa. Mom would be devastated that you've left us so soon. Love from your cousin Trice.
Very sorry to hear this, My Condolences
I knew Lesli briefly in the early 60s when the Jolly family lived in Naicam, SK. I was saddened to come across this loving obituary while doing an internet search. My condolences to her family. RIP, old friend.
