Audrey McKillican
October 17th, 2022
On Monday we said good-bye to our cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Here to keep her memory alive are her son Don (Eva Kuiper), daughter-in-law Maureen, granddaughter Ashlee with great-grandson A.J., granddaughter Lyndsay (Joe Alvarez) with great-grandson Sebastian, son Bruce (Rose), granddaughter Katie (Brad Van Reeuwyk) with great-grandchildren Owen, Isla, Evynne and Callum, grandson Alex (Elizabeth Penner), daughter Cindy (Paul Hamonic), grandson Marc (Maria Pagayonan), grandson Glenn (Kim) and great-granddaughter Riley, and granddaughter Laura (Carol Chu).
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years Robert (Bob), her parents Dan and Jessie (MacRae) MacLean and her son James (Jim).
Audrey was born in 1930 in Ottawa, but grew up in Maxville, ON where she met Bob. She was an only child but had numerous cousins and close friends. She made the big move west in 1953 when she got married. After many years living in Glenboro and Gretna, MB, they moved to Regina in 1967.
Audrey was the ultimate party girl, happy for any excuse for a glass of wine or dinner out with family or close friends. She loved holidays in warm climates going many years to Hawaii with Bob and then Mexico with Cindy and family. Holiday time was always family time where she would either host everyone, go to the Vancouver area to see Bruce and Don and families, or in Calgary with Cindy and family.
She loved gardening, reading, aquasize, knitting and sewing. Many years she would make all her grandchildren matching pajamas as family meant everything to Audrey. She felt very blessed to have seven amazing grandchildren and that she lived long enough to meet her seven lovely great-grandchildren. When the grand kids were younger, she was delighted to go to as many band concerts, dance competitions, choir concerts and ball games as she could. She loved theatre and music and went to many concerts with her close friend Marg and others. She was an avid sports fan with her favourite sports to watch including tennis, curling and the Riders' games. Every holiday was an excuse to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whether it be Valentine’s Day, Easter, Christmas or their birthdays.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at the Wascana Grace Hospice, Regina, SK for their care for the last six weeks.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Westminster United Church, 3025 - 13th Avenue, Regina, SK. Reception to follow in the church hall.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) or charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to the McKillican family. I had the pleasure of working many years with Audrey's husband Bob when we were employed by Interprovincial Pipeline. It was through Bob that I met Audrey. She was a very kind, witty and caring individual. She will be missed. Brian Kefford - Moose Jaw
