The Song Is Ended But The Memory Lingers On     (Irving Berlin)

Our mother and musical matriarch, Therese “Terry” Urzada (nee Gaudreau), has joined her parents, husband Harry, daughter Donna, grandson Matthew LeNabat and her siblings Jeanine, Roland, Bob, Gerald and Guy and friends in the spirit world.

She will be greatly missed by everyone but especially her children Don (Pat), Joyce (Bob Sylvestre), Del (Robin) and Harry (Carol) Urzada, her fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and her sisters Rita, Jeanette and Claudette.

Lady Ter, as she was sometimes called, was legendary in her baking skills, particularly buns and Dad’s cookies. It was rare, indeed, not to find a special goodie in her pantry.

Mom’s magical hands did not like to be idle. She played several instruments including piano, violin and mandolin. She was a self-taught professional seamstress and people travelled from far and wide to have Mom sew their special garment. She also enjoyed many crafts, knitted and crocheted endlessly. She knitted mittens for everyone in her family and then donated huge bags of mittens and baby clothes to the hospital and church.

Mom’s legacy was her passion for music. She sang beautifully and harmonized effortlessly and has unquestionably joined the Lord’s heavenly choir. Nothing made her happier than listening to someone in her family play an instrument, sing or dance. Even at ninety-two she refused to go to bed if there was music being played.

We will always remember her sparkling clear blue eyes and her abiding unconditional love. She enriched all our lives with her special care, her glorious laugh, and her wisdom.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church, Melville, SK.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK.

Messages:

My deepest sympathies at the loss of your incredible giving family matriarch. While I only had the pleasure of meeting your Mom and grandmother twice, she instantly created the brightest, happiest loving presence. My first encounter with your Mom when I was making wine…she bubbled more than fermentation ever could. After we established Katepwa as a meeting point, your family invited me down for an evening of laughter generated by your Mom and Grandma. I instantly knew she had a giant heart of gold and just wanted to share what an impact she had on me…the joy and gift of health, family, friendship and happiness. A most gentle steward of life. May she Rest In Peace. Giant hugs. Donna

Don Pat and family We send our deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Terry. I am so glad we got to know Terry these last few years. She truly was a very special kind hearted, “classy” lady. I loved her smile and she was so easy to sit with and engage in a conversation together. We will miss her.

To the Urzada family: I wanted to pass along my condolences on the passing of your mom. Your mom and dad both hold a special place in my heart. We had some great ‘coffee times’ together in Medicine Hat, I remember them very fondly. Truth be told, I always looked forward to your mom’s homemade buns almost as much as the great stories they always told and the laughs we shared. Oddly enough, I was telling Jesse today about how your dad always used to tell a joke about his birthday, and all the ‘sixes’ in the date, and as I was telling the story it occurred to me that I think today, (June 6) 26/06/06 might be his birthday (funny the things that we remember). Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts during this time. Take care, Leslie Squires Chief Operations Officer D3 Hotels

Don & Pat, Just heard, we are sorry for you and your family on the loss of your dear Mom Terry. She was a kind and gentle soul deeply loved by all those who knew her. We wish you and the family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Marie & Les

Pat & Don, We are certainly sad to read of Teri's passing in Regina. We remember her stay in SCG and what a delight she was to be around. She truly was a beautiful lady. We know how much she meant to your entire family and will be greatly missed as the matriarch! Hope you can find peace with happy memories and knowing that you both made her feel special with your kindness. Thinking of you at this sad time.

Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of Mrs Urzada. Our thoughts are with your family. Charisse and Barry

Dear Don and Pat. I was saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. Though I only met her once, via FaceTime, when you were speaking with her this winter, I was taken by her charm and wit. I was also surprised by her youthful appearance. Your endearing love for each other was apparent. Mothers are so special. They love us unconditionally, are the glue that holds us together and the light that has guided us throughout our lives. Know that her passing does not change that. She will be by your side forever. Close your eyes…. Feel her hug…and mine. Susan and Don

Pat and Don, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Although we never met your mom in person we chatted on facetime a few times over the years. She was charming and always smiling. She obviously passed that charm on to you both. Take comfort as you hold your family and her memories close. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Good evening Pat and Don. We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother. She had a very sunny and sparkly personality and she was always the perfect lady. She was a very positive and uplifting person whose presence lit up the room. Many of those admirable qualities have been passed on to her children and grandchildren. We will miss here dearly, and we will always remember her, and her memories, with great fondness. Much love, Merv and Kathy

Our condolences on the loss of your mother.

One of my favourite ladies. Always dressed sharp, quick with a “comment ca va?” Taught me piano lessons when my teacher got sick before recital. Terry was sooo patient with me because I was terrible. Lol Terese was a strong, classy gal. She will always be remembered with a smile. Rest in God’s embrace Terry.

Sincerest sympathy to all of Terri's family. She was a wonderful lady, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company at our Jewel events.

My sincere condolences to Terry's family. I enjoyed Terry's company many times at lunches and conventions with our Red Hat and Crown Jewels groups. It was so nice to see her pleasure at interacting with her family at her 90th birthday celebration and of course she was loving the music.

One amazing person, I was so honored to know her and have a glass of wine with her on many occasions. Alway so happy and most welcoming . Her family has to be very proud of the beautiful person she was. Many memories to be shared by all.

My deepest sympathy. She was a great lady.
