Helene Woitas

Helene (Mazenc) Woitas passed away early Wednesday, June 15, 2022 after a short battle with cancer in Regina, SK. She was born on November 7, 1955 in Radville, SK.
Her caring for and love of the many children over forty years has impacted many families. Helene was very loving and affectionate where family was concerned. Caring was her trademark.
We remember Helene for her warm hospitality to everyone who was part of her life. Camping, fishing, visiting with family and friends were her favourite pastimes.
Her memory is cherished by her spouse David Woitas; her son Derek (Jeannine); daughter Tania (Troy); her mother Lucille Mazenc; grandchildren Breanna, Kailee, Kylie, Jesse, Tanner and Kiana; great-grandchildren Kyden and Lennon; siblings Henriette (George Dolak), Lorraine Smith, Yvonne (Vern) Solie, Renald Mazenc and Rosanne (Don) VanDeSype; special friend Jackie Schwartz; her brothers and sisters-in-law Lyle (Sue), Joseph (Geraldine), Mike, Grant (Bev) and Dianne ( Archie) Foley; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Henry Mazenc; parents in-law Jean and Lawrence Woitas; brother-in-law James R. Smith; nieces Jennifer and Candace VanDeSype; sister-in-law Deborah Woitas; nephews Jeremy, James, Brett Woitas, Jaxson and Matthew Foley.
The family is most grateful to the staff of the Palliative Care, Oncology and Spiritual Care Units at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK for their compassionate, dignity-affirming and personal care.
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Jacqui Shumiatcher Room, Conexus Art Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, SK.
Donations may be made in Helene’s memory to STARS Air Ambulance or the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK.

David & Family: What a sad day and as I missed reading the paper yesterday, missed this announcement of Helene's passing. She was a wonderful and beautiful person.
