Lyle Brooks
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lyle Brooks, better known as Pa, with his family by his side, at the age of 72 years on December 24, 2023.
Lyle (Pa) is predeceased by his son Darby, many of his loyal four legged companions and a great number of family members.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 52 years Jean, his loyal dog Ben, his daughter Tracy, son in law Evan, grandchildren Mitchell (Kayleigh), Codee (Logan), Rylynn (Connor) and Ryder. He also leaves his special great grandchildren Skye, Jaxx, Rhyder, Maveryk, Ella, Karter and Hayze. Lyle was born Robert Lyle Brooks on October 22, 1951 to Bernice and Robert Harvey Brooks.
He grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan with 12 brothers and sisters. Lyle met the love of his life Jean Brooks in 1968. They were married in 1971 and remained inseparable ever since. They had two children, Darby and Tracy. Lyle was a successful auto parts business owner throughout his career. He moved his family to Regina Beach in 1988. The small town lake life perfectly suited him. He loved to spend time on the boat, fishing, hunting and his favourite past time was sitting with his wife and dog listening to music, having a beer and smoking a cigarette. Pa was the leader of our family, he was always the cool that kept us on task and the quiet that reminded us to be calm and gentle. He was the best jokester and absolutely loved scaring us and making us laugh with his one liners. He taught us all unconditional love. We will all miss him immensely. This earth is a bit darker without him. Fly free.
“Thanks for talking to me, thanks for coming out and thanks for looking at me.”
Celebration of life will be held January 7, 2024 at 1 pm at the Italian Club in Regina.
All friends and family are welcome to attend.
