Jessie Montgomery
July 23rd, 1934 ~ November 30th, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jessie Montgomery (née Clinton, née Whitney), aged 90, on November 30, 2024.
Born on July 23, 1934, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jessie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Throughout her life, Jessie was known for her love of gardening and baking, strong work ethic, and dedication to her family. In her earlier years, she loved playing golf, pool, and enjoyed swimming. Jessie particularly loved music, dancing, and the movies, passions that brought joy to her and those around her.
Jessie is survived by her five children: Gail Marie McLeod (née Clinton), Ruth Marlene Cava (née Clinton) and spouse Joe Cava, Patricia May Hadden (née Greene, née Clinton), William Lockhart Clinton and spouse Lisa Campbell, and Casey James Clinton and spouse Wendy Clinton. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren: Shane, Ricky, Trisha, Clay, Angela, Jody, Jeff, Kristina, Calder, Carissa, and Spence; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Her surviving Winnipeg family consists of nieces, nephew, and sisters Gloria and Kay.
Jessie is predeceased by her parents, James Whitney and Harriet Anderson (née Whitney) and her 3 brothers George, Charlie and Jimmy. She is also predeceased by her two spouses, Bill Montgomery and Homer (Casey) Nelson Clinton.
Jessie suffers no more and will walk into the loving arms of her father James, her lifelong dream. Rest well our strong, independent Mom, you deserve it.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00pm at 14377 60th Avenue in Surrey B.C V3X 0E2 The Blume's Clubhouse.
