Hertha Pauls

On Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the age of 85, Hertha passed away peacefully surrounded by family members. Hertha was born to Isaac and Sarah Dahl on a farm near Main Centre Saskatchewan.  There she attended Turnhill School.  Hertha was saved on June 28, 1938 and was baptized in August of the same year in the Bethania Church. Hertha attended Bible College in Herbert and then Business College in Swift Current to become a stenographer learning typing, shorthand and office procedures. She worked in the RCMP office in Swift Current before moving to Calgary to work in the Janz Brothers office and later in a doctor’s office in Crossfield. Hertha married Bill Pauls on August 9, 1958 and they spent 53 happy years together in their home in Crossfield. As well as being a devoted and loving Mother, Hertha was quietly and consistently concerned before her Lord for the care of family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father in 1973 and her mother in 1983, brother Jake Dahl, sister Helen Regier and brother Peter Dahl. Hertha is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Bill and children Larry (Linda) of Three Hills, Dwayne (Diana McMillan) of Calgary, Michael (Marie) of Airdrie, and her daughter Charlene (Brian) Neufeld of Didsbury as well as nine grandchildren, Lesli (Matt) Loewen, Lindsay (David) McDonough, Alison (Sam) Barber, Cory (Dana) Maennchen, Karin (Mark) Zacharias, Reg Neufeld, Bill Pauls, Jim Pauls, Emily Pauls and the joy of her life, 9 great grandchildren Reuben, Hannah, Faith, Erik, Evan, Sabrina, Zoey, Ian and Lauchlan. Also surviving are 2 brothers, John Dahl and Dan Dahl and 2 sisters, Nettie Dahl and Anne Regier and many in laws and relatives.
