Garry Pitkanen of Carstairs passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the age of 67 years. Garry is lovingly remembered by his family wife Isabelle of 45 years, children Shawn (Rae-Lene), Christine (Bruce); 5 grandchildren Jace, Taya, Kai, Bodi, Taj . A Celebration of Life to celebrate Garry’s life will be held at the Carstairs Church of God, 10 Avenue and Gray Street, Carstairs on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to University of Calgary Research, c/o Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary, 201, 222 – 58 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta T2H 2S3.
