Albert Douglas Tynan

Albert (Bert) Douglas passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the age of 77 years in Calgary, Alberta. 

He is survived by his loving family;  wife Linda;  2 daughters; Teresa (Wayne) Pedersen of Claresholm, Alberta and their children Leah (Travis) Bevan, Kurtis, Heidi and Owen; daughter Sharon Gallaway of Claresholm, Alberta and her children, Chelsea, Devin and Brittany;  sister Maisie Jones of Turner Valley, Alberta; brothers, Raymond (Helga) of Magrath, Alberta and Bernard (Alma) of Wondering River, Alberta and David of Calgary, Alberta as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.  Albert was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Verda. 

Albert was born and raised in Calgary, he met Linda and they married on August 9, 1957.  Working
for D.O.T. took them to Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories and Whitehorse, Yukon; they also lived in Balzac for 29 years.  Albert spent most of his working career as a finishing carpenter and builder.  For the past 7 years Albert and Linda have enjoyed life at Prince of Peace Village. 

A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7017 California Blvd, NE, Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, January 7, 2012 .  Meet with the family at 1:00 pm with Service at 2:00 pm.

Dear Linda, Doug and I want to pass along our sympathy to you and your family. We will be unable to be there for Bert's funeral on Saturday as we have to have a meeting with our family who are coming in from Red Deer. We will see you in church. Carol and Doug

Dear Linda, I am so sad to read about the passing of your husband Bert. I send our deepest sympathy to you, your dauhters and their families and I hold you in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve for him. I do hope that you will find comfort in the Easter promises of God that we will know life everlasting. I also hope that you will find the strenth that you need in this journey.
