Wallace Bernard Wright

It is with
saddness we announce the passing of Wallace Bernard Wright, of Dickson, Alberta,
on Thursday, December 8, 2011; just shy of his 88th birthday.
Wallace was born
December 9, 1923 to Edward and Elizabeth Wright.
He is survived by Irene, his wife of 63 years; daughter Delores (Nick) Hudak; sons Doug (Nina), Edward (Corinne), Lee (Janice);
12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Marie Kimball as well as
numerous nieces and nephews. Wallace is predeceased by his parents; brothers
Gordon, John, Howard and Douglas, as well as 4 step-brothers, and 1
step-sister.
Wallace worked on the
family dairy farm, and did odd jobs until moving to Alberta in 1947, where he
met and married Irene Snyder, of Kathryn, Alberta. They raised their four children while he ran
service stations in Calgary. In 1965 they moved to Worsley, Alberta where
Wallace opened a Texaco station. During his years in Worsley, he ran the
service station, farmed and worked in the oil patch in the Arctic. In 1984,
Wallace and Irene moved to Nova Scotia. Wallace and Irene resided in
Tatamagouche, Nova Scoita until 2002 when they moved to Dickson, Alberta.
Wallace requested there be no funeral
service, and will be buried in the Pinegrove Cemetery in Stewiacke, Nova
Scotia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's
choice.
