Messages:

I first met Eddie in 1959 in the "Lab." of the B.A.Calgary Refinery when the Lab. was located in the office building. It was my first assignment after joining B.A. in 1958 and I had been posted there as a "Project Chemist". Eddie was the Laboratory Foreman and was a wonderful person to work with, as were all the lab. employees. My wife, Marg, and I became good friends with Ed and his wife, Georgie, and enjoyed their companionship at many company social events as well as on a personal basis. We were honored to have Ed and Georgie agree to become "God Parents" to our first child, Ken, born in 1961.

I have known Ed for more than 47 years, having first met Ed in Calgary in 1966. Ed, and his wife Georgie, were very dear friends, and we enjoyed many years of friendship with them. We visited often with them, during our working years in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, and after Ed's retirement, in Cranbrook, Canmore, and later in Calgary. Ed loved to attend the "Gas Gang" luncheons where we met often with fellow workers from Point Tupper refinery and Calgary refinery. We will all miss Ed and his very happy smile very much.
