Gordon "Gordie" Leonard Gebers

Gordon Leonard Gebers, better known as Gordie Gebers, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Didsbury Hospital at the age of 75. Gordie was a farmer for many years, also owning a bulk fuel business in Calgary, as well as buying and selling vehicles. Gordie is survived by his daughter Valdene (Brent) Kendze and their two children Shianne and Dallas; and by his son Ken’s boys Kyle and Justin, as well as great-grandson, Jaiden and his soulmate, Lucy Lee. He is also survived by Kathy’s children and grandchildren, Lucy’s son Brett, and her daughter in law Loralynn. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous family and friends. Gordie was predeceased by his parents, Art and Evelyn Gebers; his second wife, Kathy; his beloved son, Ken; his siblings, Myron, Ivern, Duane and Arlene; his nephew, Ralph Gebers and by Lucy’s son, Rob. A Memorial Service will be held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Didsbury on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gordie’s memeory to the Westglen School Breakfast Program. Donations can be dropped off at Front Porch Realty in Didsbury or they can be made at the service.
