Mary Ann Lennon

Mary Ann (Wallace) Lennon passed away peacefully in Grande Prairie, AB with her family at her side. Mary was a long time resident of the Drumheller Valley. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Bill; her son, Bob; and her sister, Rosedale. Mary is survived by her children, Mary (Owen) Mailey, Dolly (Don) Chenard, John (Linda) Lennon; daughter-in-law, Barbara Lennon; and sister, Florence Davies.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mary's love and interest in her family was always apparent to them.  She loved knitting, sewing , stitching, and crocheting.  She enjoyed a lifetime of music which included playing violin and piano with her sisters - meeting her future husband while playing in the orchestra.  Mary also sang with the Valley Chapter of the Sweet Adelines for many years.  Mary's passion was puttering in her gardens, as she loved flowers everywhere, and the birds that visited them. Mary will be sadly missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox United Church in Drumheller, AB on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3:00 pm. The world was indeed a much better place because of Mary. What a wonderful lady she was and she contributed much to many lives here in Drumheller.
