It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved wife, mother and grandmother, Jean Lila Nelson on May 8, 2013. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was much loved by her husband Don whom she wed on August 2, 1958. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Shelley and grandchildren, Chad and Chelsea whose lives she deeply touched. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Don (2007) and her cherished parents, Mary and Thornton Irwin and beloved sister, Mona. At Jean’s request, no formal service will be held.
Messages:
Your Mom was a dear lifelong friend of my Mom, Elizabeth Niemi from Trochu, who spoke of Jean and Don often. She valued their friendship and loved hearing from Jean or having her visit. I recall being fortunate to have spent time in the company of your Mom in my younger years and remember her as a very kind and lovely lady, inside and out. I know that their annual letters to each other were greatly anticipated by my Mom, who passed away May 7, 2009. I offer my sympathy to you and your family, especially on behalf of my Mom.
