Jayden Elliott Phaneuf

In loving memory of Jayden Elliott Phaneuf who passed away on January 28^th, 2013 at 3:35 am in his mother and father’s arms.  While friends and family prayed upstairs in the home built just for him, Jayden left this earth for his Heavenly home.

Jayden was born October 16^th, 2006 in Calgary, Alberta. He was the third child of Doug and Loralie Phaneuf.  Jayden loved stuffies, Lego, Xbox, and going on bike rides.  He had an amazing imagination and could make up things to do and play for hours. Cancer may have taken his life, but Jayden did not let it stop him while he was alive.  He was tenacious to the end and fought a valiant fight. 

Jayden touched many lives throughout his short but memorable life.  He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Doug and Loralie; his sister, Megan, and his brother, Nicky.  He is survived by grandparents, John and Linda Phaneuf, Linda and Ray Story, Sharon Martin-Austin, and Pat Balkenstein; aunts and uncles John, Derek and Jennifer, Luke and Lisa, Launa and Randy.  Preceded in death by his Poppa, Larry Austin; aunt Suzi and dear friend Christian Crowell.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Northwest Family Church, 10307 Eamon Rd. NW, Calgary, Alberta, at 1:00 pm.  We kindly request all attending the Memorial Service to wear a touch of green in memory of our little boy.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Child Life Program Unit 1 Alberta Children’s Hospital, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB, T3B 6A8.  Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Unit 1, to the members of Living Springs Christian Fellowship and the countless people who supported and prayed for our family over the past 2 years.
