It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife,  mother and  grandmother surrounded by her family on March 17, 2013 at the Rockyview Hospital. Mona was born in Milkriver, AB on February 16, 1933 to Andrew & Anne Nett. Mona is survived by her family, sons; Lance (Loretta) and Guy (Judy) Selby, daughter; Patti (Les) Walkeden, step-sons; Paul (Brenda) and Grant (Stephanie) Waddell, grandchildren; Matthew, Daniel, Rebecca, Jessica, Hailey, Samantha and Samuel. She is also survived by her sister; Esme Fleming and numerous  loving nieces and nephews. Mona was pre-deceased by her first husband; Bill Selby and also by her second husband; Bill Waddell, her sisters; Peggy and Doris and granddaughter; Janel. In lieu of flowers a donation in Mona’s memory may be made to the Alberta Lung Association, P.O. Box 4500, Stn South, Edmonton, AB T6E 6K2. At Mona’s request no Memorial Service will be held. A private family Celebration will be held at a later date. Mona’s family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff at the Rockyview Hospital for their care and compassion.

Mona was a very inspiring woman, and I was very lucky to have been able to meet her through bridge.She was an excellent player and taught me a lot. I miss getting her 1/2 cup of coffee for her! My most sincere sympathy to all the family.

We were neighbors in Chateax and I played bridge with Mona every Tuesday for years - she was my bridge "mentor" and defended me several times. My Daughter, Kelly and I, were their realtors selling their condo. Bill was a great story teller - and jokes - and we have enjoyed your Aunt Esme as well.
