Born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Raymond died peacefully at the Calgary Rockyview hospital at the age of 80 years. He survived a grizzly bear attack in 98, and continued to live a full life.  As he said near the end, "He had done everything on his bucket list". He leaves behind a daughter,  Anne Louise (Wheeler);  sister, Jean (Allen);  grandsons, Chad & Dylan (Wheeler). He requested that there be no funeral. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Anne Louise, Chad and Dylan Your father/Grandfather Ray and my father Bruno Comis had such a wonderful friendship..fishing,camping and "crib". Ray always made an effort to spend time with Dad. Our family have fond memories of Ray.. Don met Ray out hiking at Dry Island Buffalo Jump about 20 years ago.. one of their favorite areas..They had met prior at our family home in Calgary..where lots of stories were told of Ray and Dad's adventures.. With sincere sympathy Anita and Don Spicer (Comis)

Ray and I met hiking with the Calgary Singles Council and enjoyed a wonderful friendship enjoying the outdoors together. He invited me to come and see "his Hawaii" and we had a fabulous time hiking volcanoes and enjoyed the non-touristy sites of the Big Island. He was a true gentleman, a good friend and I am so sorry to see he has passed on. Deepest sympathy to the family and may God's blessings be with you as he comforts you in your time of grief.
