As Jamaicans-Canadians, we are in deed proud of the achievement of our fellow country man. As a Miconian I must add my personal feeling of loss for a brother and fellow Teacher. May his soil rest in peace.
Dear Penny and family; It is with great sadness hearing of Sefton's passing. I was lucky enough to teach with Sefton and he was a terrific colleague. I will remember the great times we had playing in the teacher's golf tournaments where Sefton would always have to be the player to make the clutch shots for our team.
I had the privilege of working with Sefton, for my first year of teaching, in Airdrie. He was a great mentor and friend. I learned a lot about my practice from him. Good memories abound.
Dear Penny, I am saddened by news of your loss. May you and your family be comforted by memories of the good times.
Dear Penny My condolences to you and your family. It was always a pleasure to see Sefton at ARA conferences and spend time with him. He was a great colleague and friend. Sefton will be missed by all of us that knew him. Ron Eremenko

Dear Penny and Family, I was shocked to hear about the passing of Sefton. I worked with Sefton most of the years he taught in Airdrie. Sefton was a good teacher, an excellent staff member, and a great person. Sincerely, Alex Semenoff
Dear Penny, I read about Sefton's passing in the paper and wanted to let you know I am thinking about you and your family at this difficult time. Fond regards, Pat
My condolences to the Wallace family. I was a student of Sefton's way back when he taught physical Ed. at Beiseker High School think it was 1974. I admired him for his athletic ability. There weren't to many students that did track and field but I was one he spent extra time with, so I could better my short distant running. There was another student Gordon Thies he was a distant runner. The provincial meet was in High River, Sefton and Penny drove the two of us down to the meet. That meant alot to me. I don't really remember how I did at the meet. Sefton will always be one of my special teachers. I'm glad that he was a part of my education. Best Wishes for all.
I am a teacher and curled against Sefton for 16 years in our Saturday teachers league. I was also fortunate enough to golf with him twice and talk with him regularly on saturdays. I was honored to know him and learned many lessons on dignity and generosity as well as friendship from Sefton. I am so terribly sorry for your loss and I will miss him a lot.
To Penny and Family, We were very sad to hear of Sefton's passing. Please accept or condolences. We will always remember with great fondness his engaging smile and positive outlook on life. I really enjoyed the many games of golf I played with him at the Elks and the opportunities it provided to talk about cricket. He was very proud of his family and always took time to inquire about our family. Truly a very kind gentleman who will be missed by all who knew him. Love Richard and Shirley Parker
I was so sad to hear about Mr. Wallace's passing. Yes, he was and will be Mr. Wallace forever, as a student of his over 30 years ago, it was my way of showing him respect and on his passing will be the way I show him my respect. I had and have had many teachers over the course of my life, what I will remember most about him was his gentle nature, yet firm leadership, his 'care' for others and most of all his beautiful smile. My heart goes out to the family, you are in my prayers. Rest In Peace Mr. Wallace….you leave quite a legacy.
Sefton was a friendly, engaging golf buddy. He has been missed around the Club, and his many friends will be sad for his passing. We are traveling after Christmas, so cannot attend Sefton's memorial. Best wishes to Gary and all of your Dad's family. Wayne and Olwen Thomas
I'm so sorry to hear of Sefton's passing. My deepest sympathies to you and your family, Penny.
I met Sefton late in life as a curler. He was always welcoming, smiling, and laughing, unless he was losing. A fierce competitor, and always a good sport, he was a key member of the Calgary Mens Teachers Curling Association for many years and he will be greatly missed from Saturday mornings. He was admired by many for who and how he was.
Dear Penny...warmest memories flood back to me of Sefton when I first met him at U of C in Ed. classes, always such a gentle man and gentleman, with his smiling, easy ways. Getting to know you at Col. Irvine and learning that he was your husband was such a treat. I so enjoyed it when Sefton came to be my co-teacher for the "Social Dance" classes.....he fit right in in an instant (and was a great dancer!) and I was so thankful when he would be there to sub. There is one more angel returned to heaven, Penny, and we are all blessed to have had him on loan......much love to you and your family. I send you a very large embrace.
Penny so sorry of your loss, so very sad, thinking of you and your Family. Erika Lang
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I will always remember Sefton being so kind to me.
Our sincere condolences to Penny and all the family! We are so glad we saw him last Christmas! We have a great picture of those two "rascals", Sefton and Dave. May the wonderful memories of family Sefton as father, grandfather and friend help everyone through this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Penny and family. Sefton, an admired friend, lit up the room with his warm and caring manner. During our many enjoyable years as curling team mates, Sefton not only delighted in competitive play; his friendliness, observations, bonspiel Jamaican patties, and loyalty always added to the enjoyment of the activities. As a teacher, Sefton was insightful and caring. Sefton valued his family, and he often related how each contributed in a special way. Sincerely, Gary and Louise Haerle
