WHITE, Dwayne Robert
June 28, 1954 – August 20, 2013
It’s with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Dwayne after a courageous battle with cancer. Dwayne was a beloved grandfather, father, brother, husband and friend to many; he will be lovingly remembered by all. Dwayne will be in our hearts forever for his gentle nature, kind spirit, sense of humor and love for the great outdoors. A Memorial Service will be held at Central United Church, 131 – 7 Ave. SW, Calgary, AB T2P 0W5 on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be forwarded to Central United Church for a memorial bench in Dwayne’s memory. Laughed Often Loved Much.Messages:
Goodnight my friend, no more battles.
Hello- I am burning a braid of sweetgrass for Dwayne as I write this. Years past, we often shared the burning of sweetgrass together. I was deeply moved hearing of Dwayne’s passing. I was privileged to have had a special relationship with Dwayne while employed with Brewster Transportation and Tours. Our relationship was richly strengthened by our mutual love of the Western Canadian experience and its wondrous nature and history. Dwayne’s unique personality has touched countless hearts. He has made an indelible impression on me. Rest in peace Brother, Marshall Drummond
My dear friend, Even though I am so filled with sorrow that you are no longer here with the many that love you, I feel truly grateful that our paths crossed and we had such a wonderful friendship. I will forever cherish the great fun, and the deep philosophical and spiritual conversations we had. I will always miss that motorcycle ride we never got to take, but be reminded of you whenever I see one drive by. You are a genuine soul that truly impacted my life. You will live on within me. Thank you for being you, and inviting me into your space. Until we meet again, rest well, and get that bike ready to roll. Much love and respect, Kitty
We are so very sorry to hear of your loss Our deepest sympathies to all of his children, family and friends.
Darling Dwayne, of all the highways and byways I travel, the good and the bad, That I seldom meet a fellow wanderer such as you, indeed is sad. Roads rich with hypocrites, liars and clowns, no wander then, another drink to swallow down. This comes with a treasure from the past, no conditions, no demands, no questions asked. Save this; should you sometime, book in hand, with perhaps a smile of me think, pray do for me that I will do for you, have a drink! Thanks for the thousand golden memories and the million sparkling laughs. Loved always, missed forever. Rest in peace darling. Good night and God Bless
