Amanda Kristy Lane Antoni

ANTONI, Amanda
Amanda Kristy Lane (Hogg) Antoni passed away suddenly in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the age of 31 years. Born in Calgary, AB on June 5, 1984, she was raised in Carstairs, AB and then went on to live in Calgary with her loving husband of six years, Lee Antoni.
Growing up as the youngest of three children in Carstairs, Amanda was high-spirited, talented as an artist and quick to make friends. If you ever met her, you would never forget her since she was known for her quirky and zany antics such as her silver cowboy boots and matching hat. She loved her coffee and would rarely be seen without a large to-go cup. Her love of animals lead her to taking in two cats and a dog who were all rescue animals. She became a vegetarian because she felt it was ‘not right to eat our friends of this earth’. She made good on her commitment to a better planet by making use of green and natural cleaning products where-ever possible in her own business. Amanda was sensitive to other people’s feelings and had a passion for justice and doing what she felt was right. Not content to just talking about making things better for those in need, she was known to fill up back-packs with necessities and hand them out to the homeless people she came across in Calgary. She loved her family and was always looking forward to times spent at family gatherings and camping trips. Since she was a kid at heart, Amanda always had time to spend with nieces and nephews playing games with them or just horsing around. Amanda and her husband Lee were devoted to each other and would go everywhere together including music concerts, camping, hiking, traveling to interesting and exotic places or visiting with family.
Amanda is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lee Antoni; her mother, Linda Hogg (Dean Owen); brothers, Allen Hogg and Darrell Hogg (Shawna Aleman); nieces, Blayke, Taylor, Journey; nephews, Austin, Dawson, Liam; and many loving relatives including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews from the Bischke, Hogg and Antoni families. Amanda was predeceased by her father, Leslie (Hogg).
A Celebration of Amanda’s Life will be held in the Crossfield & District Community Centre, 900 Mountain Avenue, Crossfield, AB on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 2T7 (www.calgaryhumane.ca) or your favorite charity.Messages:
I am heartbroken for Amanda, Lee and the entire family. Words don't adequately express our sadness upon hearing this tragic news. Reliable, efficient, organized and totally professional describe Amanda's work ethic. Our home was in her very capable hands for 7 years! Over those years we got to know her warmth, generous spirit and spunky, funky side. We loved her and will miss her. ❤️
A terrible tragedy to lose such a loving and caring woman. Though we didn't know her long, she has touched us and will be missed. Deepest sympathies to the entire family.
I was shocked and devastated to hear of Amanda's passing. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her over the past four years. She was one of the kindest, most generous, and loving women I've ever met. Once, when she was cleaning our house, our smoke detector started beeping. The sound was terrifying our dog. Instead of leaving him alone in the house when she was done cleaning she actually drove him across town to my in-laws' house! She said she was worried about him and wanted to make sure he was ok! We are so grateful to her; and we miss her terribly. Our thoughts and players are with Lee and her family at this difficult time. May she rest in peace and may you be comforted by her wonderful memories. God bless you.
We were so saddened and shocked to hear of Amanda's sudden passing. Knew her years ago. May the Lord comfort you all at this difficult time.
My condolences go out to the families of this beautiful young woman. Lee you are in my thoughts always. God Bless

RIP Amanda....i know your up there making all the spirits laugh with your goofiness.
We are saddened and devastated to learn of Amanda's tragic passing. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Lee, and the entire Hogg family for your tremendous loss. We always felt fortunate to have Amanda in our home and lives these past 7 years. Positive and upbeat no matter what was going on in her life, Amanda was dedicated to always doing the right thing, both personally and professionally. I will miss her, and she will always have a place in my heart. Carole and Martin Stoffman
