Murry Blackmore passed away suddenly on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, AB at the age of 69 years.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Mary; children, Carrie (Scott) Walker, Mandy Blackmore, and Matt (Roselyn) Blackmore; grandchildren, Ben and Sam; and large extended family and friends.
Murry loved golfing and riding his motorcycle with his biker buddies. He loved working with his hands, tinkering and fixing things where ever he could, and working with his son, Matt. Murry was a strong believer in the importance of family and was a dad to everyone, especially Mandy, daddy’s little girl.
A Celebration of Murry’s Life will be held at the Riverbend Community Association, 19 Rivervalley Drive SE, Calgary on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Murry’s memory to the Veteran Affairs (Calgary), #700 – 6 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB, T2P 0T8.

Mary, I am very sad for you. It was so fulfilling to see you two wander around, going here and going there. We met you at your place in Florida and really enjoyed that. You and I can both be so happy that we did a lot of travelling around while we had our husbands. You will definitely miss that as I do. My heart is so heavy for you. Love you friend. Although we only met Murry & you Mary in Osoyoss two years ago, we were impressed by you folks...your attitude towards life & family and looked forward to sharing good times in Mesa, Arizona this winter. Murry, although I met you only in September which was our first ride together, we developed an instant bond of friendship which I will always remember. We will all miss you on our next ride but our thoughts will be with you.
