BOZARTH, Nels
Oct. 14, 1928 – Nov. 7, 2021
Nels Lee Bozarth was born October 14, 1928 to David and Nellie Bozarth. Nels was born and raised on the family farm west of Sexsmith, AB. And lived there until he married Elsie Iddins on December 18, 1957.
After living in Spirit River for a short time they moved to the Grimshaw/Berwyn area of Northern Alberta where they lived and raised their five sons. Nels spent most of his career in the grain business, managing the Grimshaw Seed Cleaning Plant for close to 30 years, retiring in 1992. Nels enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping with the family. He tirelessly travelled the country, hauling kids to hockey games and anything else they were involved in. In 2005 Nels and Elsie moved from Berwyn to Claresholm to be closer to family and especially their grandsons. In 2017 they moved in to Cottonwood Village where Nels resided until his passing November 7, 2021.
Nels was especially excited for the upcoming birth of his great-grandson who Troy and Megan informed him that the baby’s middle name would be Nels.
Nels is lovingly remembered by his wife, Elsie; sons, Dwayne (Dianne), Darryl, Craig, Kelly (Pamela) and David (Linda); grandchildren, Kyle, Troy (Megan), Trace, Cody, Cole, Blake, Mallorey (Jason) and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Cohen and Everley; his brother, Martin (Glenis); and sister, Cheryl (Bryan); as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
Nels was predeceased by his parents, David and Nellie; brothers, Jimmy, Donny, Iner (Leona), Carl (Mona) Gerald (Lil) and David; as well as his sister, Doris (Pete). He was also sadly predeceased by his oldest grandson, Greg in 2020.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Nels’s name can be made to an organization of ones choice.

Dear Elsie and family. We are truly saddened to hear of the passing of Nels, but you were blessed to have him for many years and in good health. We lost an excellent close Berwyn neighbour but it was good they were able to move closer to family. My memories of Nels was his " green thumb" and in the growing season the challenge between him and his neighbour, Dave Persson. I used to tease Nels how he would go out at daybreak and pull each plant up a "tad" to make is garden look better than Daves. But also sad to me is another funeral we are unable to attend because of these necessary COVID restrictions. Our hearts go out to all of Nels' family and friends

Sincere sympathy for your loss of Nels. Thinking of you and your family Auntie Elsie during this sad time. What was not to love about Uncle Nels? He was such a beautiful, kind, huge hearted person. We loved his sense of humour (dry) but always welcomed. We will miss hearing his voice in the early birthday and Christmas greetings. Rest in Peace Uncle Nels. Love to all. Mac and Ed
Elsie where did those days go. When I was a young girl running through your home in Berwyn. Nels and you opened your home too many as you were beautiful people, who raised five handsome, beautiful, kind and full of life sons. Nels will live forever in your hearts as your children and grandkids we carry-on some of his gestures or smile. HUGS Elsie - Dwayne - Darryl (Sprout) - Craig (Gig) - Kelly - David ❤️
