Messages:

Dorothy was my mother-in-law for many years. She always made me feel like I was her very own daughter - something I still cherish to this day. She was kind and loving and adored Kevin & Jennifer. Years ago she gave me her recipe for date squares, but no matter how concise I was in following the recipe, they just never tasted as good as hers. I think now it was the special love she secretly put in the recipe. Every time I make the date squares I think of the kind and loving woman she was. Lovingly remembered.

Auntie Dorth will be sincerely missed. I remember having a heart to heart with her & telling her that she was the kindest person that I had ever known. I feel so blessed to have had Auntie Dorth in my life throughout childhood and adulthood. I know that she is now in an everlasting, beautiful place with Uncle Bill. Love to my cousins, Pat, Paul, Karen, Barb & their families.

I enjoyed visiting your Mom with you Pat. She was a very nice lady. I know how much she meant to you and Karen. Sending my love to all of you.

Dear Mamma, I am Dorothy’s grand daughter; I referred to her as ‘Mamma’ at a very young age and it stuck because it made Mamma feel younger. She always loved being around us kids. She constantly spoiled us. She would fill my sister and I up with sugar and send us back to my parents as any good Grandma would. I remember she would feed us ice cream for breakfast with ‘chocomoes’ (macaroons), and we would try and convince my Mom that we had something sustainable for the day LOL. Ice cream was “our thing” as every visit we would plan to go to the mall and have ice cream cones with scoops the size of our heads! A few years ago at my Graduation I surprised Mamma when I sung the National Anthem for my Grad class. Mamma was in awe and always brought up how much she enjoyed it. One of the last things she said to me was about my voice and she was bragging about me to her Care-Aid. I was so touched by this that I started writing a song for her. Unfortunately, she wasn’t around long enough to hear it but I know when I finish the song and play it for her she will be listening

My sweet sister so many wonderful years together a lot of laughs some tears but we always had one another. When I see the sunset I think what you must be seeing I will miss you but we will be together again love and Gods peace to the family Bea

Dear Mom, miss and love you everyday but I know you are with Dad. You are best Mom any children could ask for.

We were all saddened to learn of Dorothy's passing but rejoice in knowing that she has moved on to her Heavenly home! We have such great memories of she and Bill and their hospitality from back in Thorncliffe. Mom and Dad were neighbors in Arbour Lake and she and mom and Dorothy Scruggs were such great friends. As their pastor at Bow Valley I always appreciated their many significant contributions to our congregation's life and service. Our condolences to the entire family.

You left not long ago but miss you so much. I know you will find peace at last and you are with Dad.

So sorry for the loss of your Mom. Auntie Dorth was the most loving and kind person! She had a heart of pure gold. I know she will be greatly missed by the family and all who knew her

My Sincerest Sympathy Karen/Bernie and all family of Dorothy Winifred Brown - your much loved Mother Grandmother and Great Grandmother - may she rest in peace. Dorothy is Dancing With The Angels in Life Everlasting - watching over all of you from above - always there for you.
