Juanita “Nita” Johnson
1943-2022
It is with great sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of Juanita Johnson on July 31, 2022, at the age of 78. She was born to Ernest and Winnifred Johnson in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1943. She raised two children, Michelle, and Ronald, and retired from Pepsi Bottling Group after 36 years of service.
Nita enjoyed listening to a variety of music, with her favourite being country, and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley for her whole life. She had a unique sense of humour and loved making people laugh with her quick wit and silly pranks. Over the years she played softball and volleyball with her sister and friends and continued to watch her family play in later years. Nita loved puttering around in her yard and collecting tools for her shed. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle for many years and loved driving big, tall trucks. She procured miniature liquor bottles and mail stamps for her collections for nearly four decades and enjoyed more than 30 years at her vacation property in the states, spending valuable time and precious memories with friends and family.
Nita is predeceased by her son (Ronald), brother (Ernest), sister (Lorraine), brother-in-law (Neil), and her parents (Ernest and Winnifred). She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Michelle (Vito), granddaughter Amanda (Brandon), nephew Curtis (Amber), niece Charlene (Chris) and her children, as well as numerous family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. The family will notify loved ones when the service is scheduled.

Ahhnty Nita, what a character, such an instigator, so much fun, so much laughter, so cheeky. What a love and such a huge loss to her family and all who were fortunate to be part of her life. We will always remember Nita and Mom (Audrey) laughing, hugging and chattering away. Oh those Johnson Girls, always up to something, once again together.
