Emerise Marie Simone LaHay (Guiboche)

November 14th, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, one brother, her first husband George Primrose, and her second husband Bernard LaHay.

She leaves behind her cherished family: three sons, Gerard, George, and Harley; daughter Melody; grandchildren Michael, Trevor (Dawn), Shawna (Jeff), Ryan (Melissa), George Jr. (Sara), Harley Jr., and Joshua; and great-grandchildren Ella-blue, Dominic, Jaxon, Ari, Cody, Savannah, Jayden, and Madilyn.

Mom also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and their families in Manitoba, as well as stepsons, stepdaughters, and their children on the LaHay side.

You were our angel on earth, and we will deeply miss you. Rest in peace, dear Mother. You will forever remain in our hearts. We love you.

A celebration of her life will be held on November 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 330 Royal Avenue, New Westminster, British Columbia.

Messages:

Dearest Gigi, it is true that you were an earth angel. You will always be our angel and your beautiful smile, cheerful laugh and love will remain with us. We love you. Love Trevor, Dawn, Jaxon

Have so many great memories of your mom. My mom and your mom sitting at the table in Minaki, speed talking in French, and the laughter. Never ending but ever so contagious. Mel, you sound so much like your mom, speaking and laughing….. like going back in time. Remember, Jerry how we would be sent off to get something, and if we couldn’t find it there was always some raunchy comment made in French. Such laughs we had. Memories are ours, and ours alone. No one can take those away from you.

My sincerest condolences to all, I remember your mother from when we were kids together and the local dances where she and George would dance together, one dance that I remember they put an apple between their foreheads with their hands behind them and held it there for the whole dance .. They always looked so good together. It has been a lot of years since we have all seen each other. May god bless.
