Marylynn McDonagh
September 26th, 2013
Suddenly and unexpectedly while recovering from a fractured pelvis; it is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Lynn.
Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta she came to the West Coast as a teenager and vowed never to leave. She was truly a “gentle” woman and classy lady whose beautiful smile would light up a room. Lynn loved nothing more than being with family and friends either at dinner parties, just plain get-togethers or for one on one talks. She particularly enjoyed her extended telephone conversations with long time girl friends. From her social worker background she had a natural giving and forgiving nature that was evident to everyone that met her.
Some of her fondest memories were travelling around the world with husband Bill. She loved to travel, enjoyed puttering in Kev’s garden, was an avid reader and looked forward whenever possible to fishing with brother Lewis. Over the years Lynn and Bill resided in different areas of BC: Richmond, Sorrento, Parksville, and Delta but probably the happiest years were spent living in the West End of Vancouver and walking the shores of her much loved English Bay.
Lynn was predeceased by daughter Jennifer Lynn. Lynn is survived by her loving family, husband Bill and children and step-children: Kevin (Caryn), Steven (Diane), Cheri (Al), Darlene (Kevin), William (Lynda), Juliana (Phil) and 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and brothers: Lewis (Joanne) and Barry (Lorna) plus many aunts, uncles and nieces/nephews. Lynn will always be loved and remain in our hearts forever.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Club 6871 Roberts St. in Burnaby.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lynn’s name to Covenant House in Vancouver.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.

Dear Bill and family, Martha and I are very sorry we could not attend and share the celebration of life for Lynn. We last saw you both together as you were departing the hotel in Osoyoos, heading to the Prairies, after our golf tournament. You were both so looking forward to visiting family and friends and enjoy your vacation. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Tom and Martha.

Our thoughts are with you and your family Bill. We are so sorry that your beloved has been taken from you so early in her life.
I realized this week that Lynn and I have been friends for over 35 years. The fond memories include her and Bill's meeting and the celebration of their marriage. Sharon and I are saddened by the loss and our hearts are with Bill and family. Scheduled surgery for Sharon prevents us from attending the celebration of Lynn's life but we will be there in spirit.
You will be missed by everyone that loved you, but what I will miss the most is our conversations. You were always there when I needed someone to talk to and lend an ear. Thank you for that.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time. We hope that the memories of Lynn will help ease the pain over the sudden loss. Sorry that Brenda and I will not be able to attend the Celebration of Her Life in October but rest assured we will be thinking of all of you on that special day. Love Dave Layton, Brenda Wallace and families.
Dear Bill & Family, Our deepest condolences to you and the Family. We are very shocked and saddened by Lynn's passing. Please know that we share your pain and our hearts and thoughts are with you all at this most difficult time. Love Brian, Brenda, Suteling and Muizee
