Gertrude Garbutt
December 12th, 2011
The
family of Gertrude Garbutt is saddened by her sudden passing on Monday,
December 12, 2011 at the age of 91 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles Garbutt in 1981.
Gertrude is lovingly remembered by her 4
daughters and 1 son; Adeline Poffenroth (Murray), Gordon Garbutt, Barbara
Gingras, Marilyn Rabel (Garth) and Lori Garbutt (Greg). Also grieving her loss are her 14
grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two sisters, Edna Gross and Alma
Schreiber.
A special thank you to the
residents of Fletcher Village for providing many hours of laughter and
friendship. Also a special thank you to
Dr. Botha for his care and kindness and to the staff at the Peter Lougheed
Hospital for their care.
At Gertie’s
request a Private Family Graveside Service will be held.

Marilyn, Garth & family, I am very sorry to hear about your Mom, Marilyn. I did not know her very well but she must have been very special because she raised a very kind and loving daughter. Dear Addie & Family I was so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. As you know we were neighbors for many, many years. She is as beautiful in her recent photo as I remember her. Its never easy to say goodbye to a parent, no matter the age or circumstance. My sincere sympathy to you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
